New National Assembly President to Meet with her South Korean Counterpart

PHNOM PENH: National Assembly of Cambodia President, Khuon Sodary, invited her South Korean counterpart to pay an official visit from September 6-9.

According to the announcement of the General Secretariat of the National Assembly of Cambodia, South Korea’s National Assembly President, Kim Jin Pyo, will lead a delegation to meet with senior leaders of Cambodia, including Say Chhum, who is Acting Head of Government while the prime minister is in Indonesia, and former Prime Minister Hun Sen, who now acts as Chairman of the King's Personal Advisory Council.

The two presidents of the National Assemblies will meet to discuss bilateral work and to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the legislatures of Cambodia and South Korea. Kim Jin Pyo will also meet with Prime Minister Hun Manet upon his return from the ASEAN Summit.

During his visit, Kim will also lay a wreath at the Independence Monument and pay homage to the late King Norodom Sihanouk.
